I'm from Brooklyn, as is our Professor. And lately, the subway system and buses hasn't been so friendly to us. My boyfriend actually took this picture, but it really reflects on how the Metropolitan Transportation Authority treats us. They're out to get our money, not give us transportation for our convenience. Honestly, its ridiculous to me how each year, the system has been getting worse. For one, weekends are slow and I recall the D train I take running on the N line most weekends. Its stupid because I need the D line .. not the N line.
The MTA definitely takes advantage of us. They constantly have stations closed down for construction that isn't needed. If a step is broken, use a different stairwell, don't shut down the station. The prices of fares keep rising as the system gets worse. It isn't right.
