I have been trying to figure out sketchup all week! I just don't get how to take the picture and fit the 3d design. I am getting really frustrated! I think Sketchup is made for design genius' or atleast code heads, something I am not. Anyways I couldn't get all my pictures to fit and I couldn't get it to do 3d rotation BUT I did export the picture. I might say.. I'm quite proud of myself for that. (pat on the back)
What I was going for was taking the model and placing my family photos around on the building. The building is a landmark in Dominican Republic, I searched for this landmark because I've have been to it. It is also representative of my family heritage. I downloaded the model and spent the next twenty minutes spinning it around trying to figure out how to use it. I chose to download a model because making one seemed nearly impossible. All I could make were.. squares and circles.
Hopefully we go over this more in class because it's quiet pathetic. My lack of technology knowledge is limited to facebook and checking the yahoo tabs on my homescreen. (how addicting are those yahoo tabs??) I wish you guys better luck than I have trying to build this model.
