Spring in the city

I have to admit, I love cold weather. It's the Russian in me. In Russia, it snows in August/September so that's what love. But now, it's getting sunny and warm and as soon as I can I'm breaking out of my apartment.

Anyway, the one thing I really missed about spring is grilling. I'm actually very territorial about the grill at my mother's friend's house. I know my grill skills, I always thought that it's a guy's thing but no. I could "out grill" most guys and I'm proud of that.

I would love to escape to the city right now. I love to walk so I usually walk from Whitehall to about 42nd st. Today looks like the perfect day for something like that. When I finally get my hands on a new Ipad 2 I have a feeling I'm going to spend a lot of time on 14th street. At least all of my school stuff will be with me so if I convince myself to do some work, I can. I really don't understand why more people don't go to the city more often. When I lived in Staten Island I went at least 4 times a week just to walk and get my mind off stuff. Battery Park is a great place to walk by the way.

I have to agree with the professor, the city is definitely the place to be. I have a reason not to right now but as soon as I can (right after I eat my entire carton of ice cream because my diet is so limited now) I'm heading to the city. I actually already made plans with a friend of mine. Then I'm running down to DC but that's besides the point. There's always something new in the city, and different people. I just have little old ladies in Smithtown (that's where I live) and as wonderful as they are, it's nice to see more people. And the tourists are hopefully gone by now... well no, I lied, they're all in front of the Apple Store on 5th Ave. I don't blame them, I would be too if I could.
