Perspective: Your Laundry

I don't understand why people bring their laundry home to have their mothers... do their laundry for them. For one, I think that the act of bringing one's laundry home and then lugging it back to Stony Brook is arguably more effort than if one just took their laundry downstairs and threw it in the wash, left for half an hour, came back to transfer the load to the dryer and then bring it up. Really people, that more difficult? You think it through and tell me.
