Labels

I was browsing the internet and found this site describing weird labels on certain products. After I finish telling you what these label say you may be wondering why companies would even bother. Let us start with food. First example, on a bag of Peanuts & Peanuts M&M, there is a warning that says, “This product may contain nuts.” Second example, A carton of eggs, the warning label says “This product contains eggs.” Well I hope I am not the only one who is thinking this but, isn’t it kind of obvious that a carton of eggs would have eggs…

Next topic “tools.” On a chainsaw, the warning label is “Do not hold wrong end of a chainsaw” On a blow torch: “Contents may catch fire.” Finally on a hair dryer “Do not use while sleeping.” Okay you can start laughing now.

Now I really do not know what the companies were thinking. So many of these labels would seem so obvious, especially the blowtorch and the eggs. However, there are good reasons to these ridiculously funny labels. Reasons for these labels includes, companies must take care not to put customers in "unforeseen" danger, assuming that those customers act in a "reasonable" manner when using a product or service. Second, companies have to provide sufficient warning of "foreseeable" danger.” Companies do not want people to sue them.
