After the huge earthquake in Japan, I really think about this question.
What is normal life?
After the earthquake, Japan has serious problem about electricity because of nuclear power plant. In Fukushima, there are four nuclear power tanks, and three of them were already exploded; therefore, people try to save on electricity.
When I talked with my family, they told me that in day time, they try to not use lights in their house even they do not using heater.
As you know, Tokyo is one of biggest city around the world, so the center of the city is never sleep like Manhattan. However, all of department store is closed at 6pm, and Japanese government save on electricity for street lamp as well.
My family do not complain about this situation because it is emergency situation in Japan; however, their life is totally changed to inconvenient...
For me, using light is too natural, so I cannot imagine that my life is without light. Even sometimes I forget to turn off the light while I am sleeping...how it is wasteful spending...
Through my country's situation, I rethink about my life, and I realize that there is no natural things in people's life.
My favorite quote is "tomorrow is another day" from Gone with the wind.
I know that Japanese have really hard time to survive their tragic situation; however, throgh tragedy we can rethink about something important things like what I felt.
Ganbare Nippon, and I really hope that the situation is getting better soon......
