Friends

I've been on a non stop watching frenzy of "Friends". I've been watching this show non stop and to think this show started in the early 90's and is till appealing and funny to this date is truly amazing. I think television shows like this should be made. Because a lot of the shows we see now will not be seen as funny in the years to come. What we see on TV now is more this generation specific. I feel like if they broaden their scripts and get creative with characters that they will be able to make long lasting and profitable shows that everyone can love and enjoy. Shows like two and a half men and Jersey shore will only be funny to this generation because for some reason we think that this "Charlie Sheen" and "Snookie" as a valid form of entertainment when in fact they are just lost people who need help and need to realize that they need to wake up and become fuller human beings and reach their potential.

Shows like Sienfeld, Friends, and even the more recent show How I Met your Mother will leave a lasting impression for the sole reason that they concentrate on the Characters. There is strong character development and you can relate to the characters Emotion. Jersey Shore just shows Rediculous Dramatical Encounters that do not really exist on a daily basis and when all you see are these conflicts you can;t really like a character, you just hate them.. all of them.
