Has anyone ever been down to the Kings Park Bluff? It's really nice but has so much more potential. Compared to Northport Harbor and Port Jeff, Kings Park should build the whole strip up with stores, bars and restaurants. Why is the town so hesitant to allow the build up of it down there? It has such potential business growth and would get a good crowd on the weekends. Kings Park doesnt have a lot in that area and they won't even let them tear down the Kings Park Psych Center. It's time to teat that down too! The only use that place is getting is drug addicts and homeless people. Of course I had my adventures out in the middle of the night there as did every other kid in high school but it would do so much better if something else was built there. I grew up in Smithtown so we would always go to Port Jeff on the weekends. I think if they made some changes and built a lot down by the Bluff they would do really good business. Its only a 5-10 minute drive from town by the other bars but it would still attract a great crowd.
Port Jeff is the best waterfront town to go to because it is so built up. They have such a variety of place to go to and every kind of food that you can imagine. Northport is falling behind because they don't build anything new and only have a few older bars down there. I remember taking our boat down to Northport and there was never anything good to do in town. I think Long Island has so much more potential to build up these areas on the waterfront and do great business. After all, the people with yachts are the ones to target because they're the ones with all the money to spend.
