In an attempt to make sure I don't pass out in one of my classes I brought my computer with me to school. I don't know what's going on with me lately. Anyway, as I opened my web browser this story caught my eye. I had the same kind of reaction to this that I had to people starting problems last September. Are we really that disrespectful? I mean I know people have their own views on homosexuality but what the hell makes them think saying things like ''Thank God for dead soldiers," ''You're Going to Hell," ''God Hates the USA/Thank God for 9/11," and one that combined the U.S. Marine Corps motto, Semper Fi, with a slur against gay men." I don't see them fighting for the country!!
I have some friends in the military and I good friend of mine is a Marine so even though I may not have direct connections to the family or the military in general this still hits close to home. I think it takes a special kind of person to go into the USMC and it's not for the feint of heart. And "thank God for 9/11".... (insert profanity here) really!! I was pretty young when 9/11 happened and thankfully I didn't lose anyone but I know people that did. What is wrong with people these days! It doesn't matter if you have a problem with homosexuality or not... its a funeral... have some respect. I'd really love to give these people a piece of my mind.
And as far as I know, people don't choose their sexual orientation so the man that passed away was just being true to his self. If some of those people had a child that was homosexual I'd hope they wouldn't basically tell them "I hope you die soon." I'm angry, this is why I try to avoid the news.
