Beautiful weather has a direct inverse relationship with my productivity. As the weather gradually gets nicer, my will power to do work gradually goes down. I try to remedy this by balancing out the two. I'll give myself two hours of sun, then go back to work. It's barely 50 degrees outside today, but it's still early morning with plenty of time for the weather to warm up before the sun is at its peak. It looks fairly sunny; I can see rays of light seeping in through my windows.
I know that I should be working on my programming project, but sometimes as I find myself typing away on my computer, I wonder whether or not I want a boring job stuck in an office cubicle. People often employ the metaphor of a caged bird; a caged bird still sings despite its circumstances of living in an eternal prison. But how can I settle for living as a caged bird once that I've gotten a taste of what it's like to fly beyond these iron cast bars?
