Eat British in Brooklyn!!
It's no doubt that much of Brooklyn has been yuppified. Many swanky, overpriced haute cuisine restaurants have taken up residency. However, there are still many local buzz worthy eateries that don't break the bank, while serving up a meal that is nothing short of a conversation pieces. One such restaurant is "Chip Shop" in Park Slope. This place is awesome. It is a tiny hole in the wall, with only about 10-11 tables. They serve up authentic British dishes. They serve everything from bangers and mash to Fish and Chips. They are really known for their love of all things fried. They fry everything from pizza to snickers bars. It is definitely not something to eat often, but it is defiantly an experience. With ridiculously larger portions and outlandish fried dished this place really stands out. Best part is before they close they give away left over fries from the side door. You can eat British and never leave Brooklyn.
