songwriting is really hard for me. melodies and chord progressions come easily to me, but to me, the hardest part of the songwriting process is writing the lyrics. i usually end up hating everything i write about 2 months later.
typical situation:
me: oh hey i just wrote this song and it's so cool and stuff lol!
(two months later)
me: omg i'm so corny wtf i hate this song.
the saying goes that "you're your harshest critic", and the saying holds true in all cases for me.
i write songs because it's fun for me. i don't really do it for attention or rep. it's nice to have a creative outlet. you should try it.
