Thank God For Ebay
Ebay is the best site ever created! I have recently gone into the hobby of fixing broken ipods, iphones, and cell phones simply because my friends keep breaking them. I figured that if i could learn how to fix them, i could make some money on the side and it will be good experience to know incase mine break. Well, I recently just cracked the back glass on my iphone 4 (i was soo pissed) and i wanted to learn how to fix it. With the help of some blogs and tutorials on youtube, i learned how to replace them with ease. The problem ended up being getting the replacement parts. Since apple doesnt want you to replace the parts yourself, you cannot go directly through the company and get them. Rather, you can go on Ebay and these small companies manufacture parts that are identical to the apple parts. After some serching, I found an excelent company that makes these parts for almost every electronic device out there.
Well your probably saying "Those parts are really cheep and probably break easily" because thats what i thought. Ive now had my ipod with the replacement part in for alomst a year now and its still running perfect. It just goes to show you that if you can get a LCD screen for a brand new iphone on ebay for $50, think about how cheep apple would be able to fix it for. Im glad we have ebay for this kind of stuff becuase without it, i would never be able to do this type of repair service.
Attached is a picture of my broken iphone 4 case along with my friends broken screen off of his brand new ipod nano.
