For a lot of people, NBA all star weekend is just like any other weekend on the calendar. They overlook it as just another weekend to get through. But not for me. For me, all star weekend has always been and continues to be my favorite weekend of the year on the entire calendar. For most people, the super bowl weekend is their sports weekend of the year. Thats the weekend they choose as their favorite weekend of the year to hang out with friends and family, eat a lot, and watch some sports.
I guess that for me, NBA all star weekend is my super bowl weekend. It's been like that for as long as I can remember. Back in the day, we used to invite a bunch of people over on Saturday nights for all star weekend where they had the slam dunk contest and the 3 point shootout. Although that trend is not as prevalent as it used to be, we definitely still get to enjoy all star weekend to its fullest. Nowadays, since me and my brother are usually at our apartments and not home, we dont get to do the things we used to do. But that doesnt stop us from enjoying this weekend.
I'll still go out with my friends, either to one of their houses or maybe to a bar or something and enjoy the games. And then once in a while, we would all be fortunate enough to be home to watch the game. This way, we would invite a lot of the family over to enjoy the weekend with us.
