i have a sort of love/hate relationship with new york winters. the day i took this photo was beautiful. the snow was falling softly, the streets were clear, and the city looked amazing. that day was a huge contrast from a big portion of winter that i usually associate it with...

which brings us to the hate aspect of my relationship with new york winters.

after withstanding two gigantic snowstorms (complete with shoveling), getting salt and slush on everything i own, and just the cold in general, i can't wait for spring. this transitional period is getting old.

springtime is traditionally associated with renewal. bring on the new semester. new things, new people, new life. exciting, huh?
