Rebelion

The rebelion in Egypt has come to an end... well the government steped down and a new government is being established. There is still alot of work to be done. One of the biggest things that the media portrays is how technology played such a big part in the uprising. Im curious on how much of a role it really played. Egypt isn't a very developed country and only the rich have constant access to the internet. Not to mention the government shut the internet down with in a week. Yes i know the facebook page got tens of thousands of hits but they is more of the world reacting to the news not necessarily the people actually rebelling. Also the revolt seemed to become more intense after the internet was shut down. Does this mean that the internet sparked a more intense result or did the internet have little to do with the revolt at all? It really is hard to say. It also makes me look at our own country and what is going on. We do not hear about it every night on the news but there are revolts and uprising all the times in countries around the world. Egypt is not even the first government to shut down the internet. Our government is in alot of debt, alot of students are graduating from college and are not able to find jobs. This year the highest unemployment rates are actually among law students. This is not just effecting students who are going to college just to get a degree this is effecting students on many levels. I never would have guessed there was a day where the US didnt need more lawyers. As said in fight club we have been raised to believe that wed all become movie stars and be rich and now we are all starting to realize that its not true , were not as special as the world made us out to seem and we are becomeing very pissed. I am paraphrasing of course but you get the idea. The scariest part is that the next big wave of debt isnt even here yet. Biggest wave of debt is going to be from us. Its going to be due to the thousands of people who cant afford to pay off their student loans. We are in debt for trillions and obamas plan is only gonna save 1.1 billion dollars. What is going to happen to our generation. Are we just going to be lost in the waves of debt and technology? In alot of ways technology now outshines people. Technology is slowly replacing people from atms, self check out, and even animated people in movies. Is this going to lead to a rebelion in the united states. The country of democracy where the people are the government... but has the government forgotten about its people? Has it been corrupted by big business and greed that it doesnt seem that it is running its people into the ground to make a profit. The human race has destroyed much of the planet... is greed now gonna destroy much of the population. It is scary to think that people have such little worth and that when i get out of college the great united states may fall from its glory.
