Dating
My family always busts my chops about "picking the RIGHT guy". I seem to be very picky when it comes to dating. First impressions are so key to me. I can tell alot about a person by watching their behavior for ten minutes. I don't necessarily believe you "can't" tell a book by its cover. I can tell alot about someone's personality and how they value certain things by the way they act in certain situations. I think everyone really has a "Checklist" in their mind. People, both guys and girls have an idea of what type of person they want to spend the rest of their lives with. People are naturally attracted to people with certain traits. I have two older sisters, one married and one that has been dating this guy for five years. They always make jokes about how I can be too picky about people. My expectations tend to be held high and they know I won't settle for lazy scumbags. I think the biggest problem with guys is that they try too hard to impress me. I think the FIRST date is solely for impressing a girl. After that, I want to know the REAL person. I'm easily amused and a simple date, I love just driving around in the car and going to the beach, but most guys look past the simple things in life and don't know how to enjoy little things. I solely concentrate on all the little things in life and people often don't understand why I get amused and pleased by such little things. There needs to be more people that see the little things and look past the big picture. People are too worried about their ego and need to relax and enjoy life.
