Wow, so after discussing my MP3 player purchase with a number of people and then reading up on reviews online, I think I may not go Apple at all. Now, I'm not a big fan of Apple. I find their products overpriced for the hardware. This is because I've been building computers since I was a kid, and making a beast computer for the money is my specialty. However, my industry of choice in film forces me to be engulfed in a sea of Macs. Final Cut Pro has become the choice editing software along with every other Mac-oriented audio and visual software. I've owned an iPod Touch for nearly three years and LOVE it. I am not a fan of iTunes, but use it anyway. And the only reason I started using it was because of the neccessity with the iPod Touch.
Now, I've known that Sansa made small MP3 players. One of my best friends owns one. I just didn't care to even look into it. But reviews are saying it's reliable, good battery life and better sound quality(!) And with an expandable Micro SD slot.... HELLO, 32+GB of added space. And it's much cheaper. So now I'm leaning towards the Clip or the Fuze.... Both priced around $30-60 +$60 for a 32GB card. I have grown accustomed to the iTouch's touch screen though, and it's ease of use... This makes the decision so hard.
I think I may have to borrow my friend's Sansa Clip for a bit to test it out, and hang out in an Apple store playing with the Nano. Oh, decisions, decisions....
