Krzysztof Wodiczko seems to want to make people feel uncomfortable. By projecting images on these monuments he wants to reverse the ideology of patriotism and fill it with destruction. He projects rockets on these monuments and let you really know what these monuments stand for. I believe the concept is very interesting. The idea of using these famous monuments to change the public perception and draw attention to areas of concern is very clever. However, now it seems as though he is trying to force a particular ideology on to people that might not be so accepting of it. You have to be careful when dealing with monuments that are dedicated to special events. Some people hold these things close to their heart and it could gain attention of the wrong group of people. But then again, they say any publicity is good publicity.
