Celeb role models smh
Americans began to focus more on the individual instead of others within the community. The post-modern American family has also helped produce the ideology of a “me first” society. Where, the main focus on everybody’s mind is to make as much money and fame as possible by any means necessary. This is the reason why celebrities are idealized so much, people want what they have which is fame and fortune. Many of our teenagers today are feeling pressured by the fashion, music and entertain industries to fit a certain mold. Reality shows like Jersey Shore embrace idea that getting drunk and being involved in all kinds of drama on camera is the most fun in world and the fact that they get paid to do all of this makes their audiences want to behave just like them.
