Thoughts For Summer

Well, summer's almost here, and it's just in time. This semester was a tough one and I could really use a break. As I was reading some of the blogs on here, I came across a very interesting one. This person made a list of things that they wanted to get done this summer, almost like a checklist. I found it interesting because as a little kid, I was always interested in making these lists. The problem was that they were never realistic. There would be things on there such as camping in the Amazon or backpacking through India that I was way to young to do. Well, now that I'm in college, I've changed my goals into more mature and achievable ones. Ive wrote a couple down here:

1. Get a raise - I've been working at my job for almost three year's now and I love it. I make a very good pay for a part time worker and I actually like getting up and going to work. It wouldn't hurt, however, to make a little more money. I'm going to try and work my hardest and hopefully my boss will see it and give me a raise.

2. Get an A in Calc - When i first came to Stony Brook, i took Calc 1 and failed it. I was too disoriented and had no idea how to study. Now i have to take it this summer and I'm sure ill do much better.

3. Visit Coopers Beach - Rated #1 beach in America. The coolest part is, it's within 30 minutes of my house. The problem is that it's a private beach so me and my friends are going to try and sneak on this summer.

4. Get an Internship for the Fall - I currently have an Internship at Stony Brook University but I feel as if it is time for a new one. I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to work at Stony Brook however an Internship allows you to learn new things. Now that I know almost everything the job entails, I am no longer learning.

With a little luck and some hard work, I'm sure Ill be able to get all of these done. I'm going to try and focus on the last one as I think it's the most important at this stage of my life.
