Snow day
A huge smile was put on my face when I looked out the window and I seen the streets were filled with snow that must have been at least a foot high. It was official that a snow storm had just hit and school was cancelled. I was in about 10th grade when this happened. The snow that day was deep; it was halfway up to my knees. A snow day was the best thing that could have happened to me. I felt like I needed a day off anyway. My brother and I played outside with our friends for hours. We were at the deserted snow filled park, rolling around playing snow football and throwing snowballs at each other. Than later on we even went around the neighborhood shoveling people’s snow for money. We must have made about $400 combined. The day ended off great, I came home around 8 to a nice hot cooked by my mom.
