A Selfish Act

Did you guys hear about the mother who tried to kill her 4 children and herself? She was successful but one of the children survived. He was the oldest of the four children. She drove her car into the Hudson River and the children drowned. The oldest had escaped but could not save his siblings. I remember reading in the news paper that he felt horrible that he could not save his brothers and sister. He is only 10 years old 10. Is it right that he has to live with that type of guilt on his shoulders and endure the lost of his siblings and mother? She was only thinking about herself if you ask me. She probably didn’t think anyone would survive but he did and it’s too late to say sorry. I am not sure about what exactly happened but I think she got into an argument with the children’s father and I guess it took her over the edge because I can not imagine someone wanting to kill their children to get back at someone who made them suffer. Why couldn't she just kill herself and let her children live their lives? How can someone be that selfish? They didn’t even begin to live their lives yet. It’s just a sad story and I hope God forgives her and I am going to pray for the little boy who did survive and ask God to give him the strength he needs to live his life and deal with the lost of his family.
