Poetry

Beautiful is often not enough
Bright like the city's skyline
Yet serene like a babbling brook
She could not be compared
by the realm of mere mortals
She glowed with a radiance
that pierced through frowns and depression
Purity
She looked at me with those eyes
while baptized by the rain
as if wanting me to come with her into the light.
My heart screamed wanting to go
but I will not.
