I took an Astronomy course last semester and it really got me thinking if life exists anywhere else in the universe. Many people believed throughout history the world was flat. Many ancient human beings could never even imagine of the technology we have today - cars, airplanes, cell phones, and the list goes on and on. I believe there is definitely some sort of life out there. It could be microbial, human-like, or something that we have never seen before. To make things even more complicated, the extraterrestrial life could exist in a form that is not detectable by the current technology we have. Even more, they are already saying that our Physics is outdated. We need something entirely new to reach the next level.
Our universe consists of billions of stars and planets. The technology we have today has allowed us to detect extrasolar planets - planets that are outside our solar system. A star gives all its planets the energy, which in turn creates chances of producing life. Earth is such a special planet because it is in the perfect habitable zone in our solar system. If it was where Mercury is, or Jupiter is, it could never sustain any life. I dont think this is just a coincidence. I mean who provoked the "Big Bang?" There has to be a mystical power behind this. I believe you can believe in both science and spirituality. Science is just there to unlock the secrets of the nature around us, but we will never fully decypher the real blue print of nature and our existence.
