With the death of Osama Bin Laden, and my recent thoughts on Catholicism, the idea of morality, justifying right from wrong came into my mind. As Catholics we believe not only is it wrong to kill, but it is also wrong to wish death upon another. This may seem strange to some, they may ask themselves “Why can’t I wish people like Osama Bin Laden dead?” Catholics know that people like terrorists will have to answer to a Higher Judge then any on earth. Not only that, Christians and Catholics who follow the word of Jesus cannot see the good that comes out of killing another. The Catholic in me wants to follow this doctrine, but the American in me can’t help but feel proud someone as evil as Osama is dead and gone.
