Betrayal

Have you ever been in love?
I have… and it was the best feeling in the world
I thought it would last forever until the day
He left me for another woman
Who was my best friend, my only friend
The one who I told all my secrets to and
Invested all my trust in her
How can he do this to me, how can she do this to me?
How can they go behind my back and commit this awful sin?
The sin of betrayal and then smile in my face
As if they weren’t doing each other behind my back
I’m enraged with hatred and God is telling me no
Have forgiveness in your heart
But I see red everywhere, the nightmares are worst then before
The Devil is all around me, in my dreams
Tempted me to commit murder
To end it all, to help deal with the pain
The alarm clock rings and I’m
Waking up to screams
Realizing that all along it wasn’t a dream!
