SketchUp Rendering using Maxwell Render P1.

*This picture, living room, is the outcome of 6 hours rendering. (Why does it have to take that long?) For some reasons, the texture of the floor (should be wood) does not show up.

I've been playing around with Maxwell Render recently, but, so far, I still have troubles using the program. I am experiencing a hard time dealing with the way it function. Its interface is extremely different with Google SketchUp. Comparing to Maxwell Render, SketchUp is a user-friendly program. I guess that, although both of these two programs can be used in interior and architecture design, they are focusing on different things. While SketchUp focuses on presenting the general idea, Maxwell Render put more attention on real-life-simulation. In sketchup, the only light source is the sun. However, when using Maxwell Render, it does not only offer the environments(sun) lighting, but also have the opportunities to create your lights. You can modify the lighting intensity (watt, size), and the lighting color. Even though that the interface is still an issue for me, the lighting function really pulls my attention. It's really a cool program.

*Maxwell Interface. It's really complicate, yeah?
