Insomnia

On a typical day, my morning begins at 7:45am as I fight with the snooze button on two separate alarms clocks, struggling to get up. I have never been a “morning person”. Even in elementary school I fought with my body to get up on time for class, let alone catching the bus. The problem resides in my insomnia. I stay up all night, every night. I've tried to set schedules for myself to be in bed by midnight, even 1:00am to be nice, but I could never fall asleep. I feel that from years of this sleep pattern, I've conditioned my body to function at odd hours.
As a kid, I remember always having one of my parents drive me to school because I would miss the bus. Even so, I would still show up to class late. If there was an award for most lateneses, I would be the crown winner of it consecutively. This doesn't make me always a late person. It's just mornings that I can't do. Going out at night, I'm ready in a jiffy, waiting on others. I don't mind the wait, I make other people wait up hours for me because I can't function properly in the morning.
I've been really trying to fix my sleep schedule lately. Taking uni-some to actually sleep early, along with melatonin for deeper sleep. I don't think it's quite working out though. I still have trouble sleeping and waking up...
