"Illegal Immigration" Jeff Inoa

Question Of the Night, Hw Assignment for THR 216: whats your take on "Illegal Immigration"? feel free to write what you like with out insulting..Thank You.....Responses from Students

without insulting? pass

The perception of immigration is skewed becuz we believe that the immigrants r the ones responsible for limited availability of jobs but in reality it is the business owner's fault. I say this becuz they choose the workers & believe it is better to pay less when in reality it hurts the economy.

Mike is correct. Business owners will just find another way to save money. I would!

Anyone child who is brought here by an illegal immigrant should be allowed to stay and given citizenship. The child grows up not knowing whether he/she is a "citizen" unless they grow up and are faced with a dilemma. To them, they are alrea...

and @Mike and @ Amaury: business owners have tried to use U.S citizens to work. In several documentaries they have stated that U.S workers are not serious about the work and after a couple of weeks, they get lazy and don't show up or don't effort into the work. Illegal Immigrants provide great work ethic because dedicated to work with passion since they are trying to help their families and help themselves which is why they came into the US in the first place

ust to add to immigrants working over a Citizen of the US.
just face it this way, nice and short. - we dont wanna do anything for minimum wage. but illegal immigrants will do so no problem. majority of them know they will not get a 6 figure paycheck from a job, so they get... what they can get, and they will work their asses off.
Alot of Fools with no education think that its bullshit to be stuck with a job that pays 7.25 for cleaning floors, and taking orders... rather than getting 15$ an hour to do the same shit. then they want health / vacation / etc etc benefits.
immigrants on the other hand, will work through anything(bad weather, sickness, etc) ... collect those paychecks, and keep it moving.

so from my point of view, its neither the companies fault that they want loyal workers, and collect their millions. i would be the same if i was wanting to make my paper.
and its not the immigrants fault that people dont wanna work. "you dont wanna work, you end up unemployed"... "kk thanks, have a good day."

In reality, illegal immigrants are the ones that keep the nation running, they all do the "dirty" work that we won't do as simple as working out there in farms or crops or making deliveries but they stay positive keeping in mind that american dream and helping their families with the little they get

there is no such thing as an 'illegal' human being... it doesnt matter if people are documented or undocumented, if the government or dominant group decides that it wants to uproot a group of people they will do anything to do so. there are millions of documented people to get treated as tho they dont belong here everyday... i dont feel its about the law, its about discrimination.

No human being is illegal

i kinda agree w| veliz. most "unemployed" people in the US will not do the "dirty" work that illegals do (even with pay) to secure a roof over their children's heads. if people don't wanna work someone else will gladly take that position. these individuals risk everything to get to the states (deportation, death, being ripped off etc.) some even leave their families behind and send a portion of the money the make back home to their wife and kids. though anything considered illegal is wrong (legally speaking), i do believe it should be easier for non-citizens/non-resident aliens to quickly come in easily, effectively & efficiently. The sponsorships, and waiting 15 20 years is ridiculous. everyone should be allowed a shot at "the american dream" - it is what the country was founded for right?

haha, looks like Desiree beat me to it by using that quote. should've read all the comments.

The honest truth is that immigration isnt a problem at all. If Immigration was a threat to America then there would of been an electric fence all across the boarders 20 years ago. Republicans(some democrats) only talk about immigration because its an issue people in the lower class(Especially White "red necks") have a problem with. The honest truth is its not really important 10-50 Aliens cross the boarder everyday.

lol i see you deleted & reposted.. ^this is truee .

Yeah I made a mistake... You know what they say.... These days you got to be "Politically correct"

"Illegal" immigrants come here to find a better life. It's funny how "illegal" immigrant families come here and work their asses off just to get minimum wage and care for their families, while many US citizens hate on them for the stupidest reasons. Also, look at the educated immigrant students. Their parents come here hoping to give their children a better education. These kids study like mad and have big dreams and high hopes because they have very little now. America is FAR behind in education compared to other nations and it's just sad. The problem is, immigrant students have problems receiving the same education as others. Sure they can go to elementary school, junior high and high school...but when they graduate, they can't receive student loans from the government, or private loans to pay for college. They have to rely on hard earned cash.

Obama re-introduced the DREAM Act (which surprisingly was started by Bush in 2001) that allowed illegal immigrant high school students who graduated, who have good moral character, and who arrived in the USA as minors to receive US citizenship if they complete two years in the military, OR at least two years in a four year institution. Sadly, this bill was shot down mostly by the 'Pubs.

minimum wage? some of them don't even get that. who are they going to tell? they cannot complain about what they get paid. i've seen some get paid 50 dollars a day doing construction work etc. thats 6.25 an hour if the work day is 8 hours. 1$ below minimum wage. (to respond to the first part of what you were saying) point: they come here and work hard for very little and still can't get what we all take for granted.

I support the dream act. Those kids/now-young-adults deserve to have a shot
