The layer app is pretty cool. I think it could be used very nicely to add to the show but at the same time i think it could take away from the show. It adds nicely because it brings the entire city into the show. You can use different parts of the city to bring in new visuals that one couldnt see inside the theater. I think it would have to be well integrated into the show. the character would have to save look over there and everyone points their phone in that direction. The audience could see a picture in the distance on their phone. It would be more preferable if they saw a short film. It would take away from the show because some of the audience might be too busy looking at their trying to find new areas on layer. Also if it didnt work perfectly every time the audience would get frustrated and be taking away from the show. plus anyone who doesnt have a smart phone would be left behind and would be confused. I tihnk it is a very interesting concept but unless it was worked out perfectly it would take a lot away from the show.
