The Blues

Another genre of music I like is blues music. I know it may be a little unexpected but blues culture is just so unique and soothing to me. The impact it has had on our music culture today is unbelievable. Through the efforts of blues culture we are able to enjoy r&b, jazz, hip-hop and even some types of rock and roll. But the blues isn’t just about music, literature and art were also affected. Blues poems helped inspire African-Americans of the early 1900’s to start movements such as the Harlem Renaissance which had a national effect. These are some of the different things I like about the blues.
