HOotie HoO Readers,

I'm chillen right now and jammin to some music, not noise, to music. I finished my work and just hanging out till our meeting tonight. Contrary to popular belief, I actually do all of my work and get pretty decent grades. With the exception of math, everything else I can get done pretty alright. I just do my ish during the day inbetween classes and the fact that i'm a natural writer helps, so I usually just bang all my assignments pretty quickly.

Anywho I just wanted to say how much I love music. I'm pretty ecletic to start off, but today my ipod has just been shuffling so phenominally. I think I'm just in a good mood, because my future husband wrote me a Valentine's wish on facebook, and texted me a few sweet lil nothings. Shamefully, i creeped his profile to make sure he didn't write on any other biddies walls- he didn't :) . My best friend from home and my hubby are coming to visit this weekend too! Can you say shit show? I can not wait.

Poem written for me

This pass Valentines Day, me and my girlfriend exchanged gifts, and we made the same exact gift. I had trouble at first, deciding what to make. I did a bit of searching, and asked around, but I finally got an answer. It was to compile reasons of why I was with her. It is a jar full of reasons why one likes the other. They both came attached with a large poem. This is her poem :

Because you've doubted in the past
Just how long my love would last
I put some reasons down in ink
so its easy for you to think.
Well some are reasons, some are facts
Hopefully they explain how I act
I know I'm difficult and hard to please
But you make loving a whole new ease.
In this holds only a few reasons for which I love you

So when you're down and I'm not there
Just read these and you'll be aware
Aware of why my crazy heart
would never even dare to part
From someone just as wonderful as you
Each and everyone of these hold true
Though some silly and some salacious
It's because you make me so vivacious
By opening this you imply consent
To know I meant the best of intent

V's Day

February 14th is about love but the Google image search for Valentine's Day can be misleading: v-day shouldn't just be about romance. Love is about more than flowers.

The picture is of my Grandma (Mary) and my great-aunts. They're strong women. True, my grandma married my grandpa and they did have quite the romance. Back in the day, romance was possible. No, they didn't leave graphics and exclamation marks on each other's facebook wall; they lived in the walls of their house for 50+ years, creating lives for their four children. That is more real than linking your name with someone else's on a public forum.

Today can be a bit commercial. However, it is nice to have a day about love as long as all of the different types of love are taken into consideration. Remember your family and your friends and your love. Young girls (and even cougars) can be dramatic sometimes. Just look at this picture of these beautiful women and realize that loving yourself and your family is more important than getting cheap carnations.
