Family Video

I did not have a lot of older photos because my grandparents threw away most of their photos because they "Didn't want us to deal with them once they passed away". We didnt'd find this out until I went and asked them for pictures. Our family doesn't really take a lot of photos except on vacation and my sisters wedding.

Family Museum with Sketchup

This semester was the first time that i got to use the program Sketchup, let alone even know about it. I was always very interested in the concept of 3D and i agree with the fact that everything will be 3D in the next couple of years. The program sketchup by google, is an amazing tool that allows you to create your own space and edit it any way you want. Using the sketchup wharehouse, you have access to thousands of models and different ideas that could help evolve your own. The only real difficulties that I had were with navigating around my own space with the orbit tool however im sure this becomes easier as you gain experience with the program.

Using sketchup, I attempted to design a museum. I used my artwork, edited family photos, as the art and developed a space around it to help show my ideas. I am very pleased with the way my museum turned out as it was my first time using the program. I hope to use it in the future and possibly in a future career. Family Photos

Happy to present my Family Photos. Have to say that this was a very fun project. It's nice not to have such strict guidelines all the time. I find that i am more creative with such circumstances. It's really interesting to see how life was for our past generations. Though we see the photos, its sometimes hard to imagine that my mom looked like this (pic on left) i mean she still looks pretty similar, only she doesn't look like a character out of Mad Men anymore. Anyway, I hope that many of you found this experience as fun as i did.
