Today our world faces a constant threat from militaristic terrorism. Terrorist groups such as Al-Quida have cells located in countless countries. In order to keep their movement in motion many jihads have used modern technology, primarily cyberspace to entice recruits, and instill fear into their enemies. The Internet has become a tool for the jihadis to articulate themselves not only to fellow Jihads but also to the general public and governments all over the world. The Internet provides privacy and anonymity to users that allow them to explore their imaginations with different readings, passages and videos. Jihadis play close attention to relate and justify all of their activates in the name of their Islamic religion, which is the driving for in all of their endeavors. Airing executions, planned attacks, and doctrine are all posted on the web by terrorists all over the world, nearly every day, for almost everyone to see. Will these doctrines infect readers just as many other things posted on the internet do? The internet is the greatest invention of all time, but still has it’s downfalls, which include mass spread of faulty information.

Spinning Coin Texture

This one is the very first texture video that I recorded. This took me quite a long time because I had to spin the coin, and then pick up my iPod and record it, and sometimes I would only get a few seconds worth of spin time.

Visiting the Doc

So I came home today for my yearly checkup. I got a different doctor today because my pediatrician took a few months off. Anyway she was really cool and down to earth…she was wearing jeans, sneakers, and a white top! Lul…no lab coat at all! Anyway I told her I was majoring in Psychology at Stony Brook and she was like “Wow, good for you!” I was thinking in my head…YOU KNOW MY SCHOOL?! Hahaa.

She mentioned she was a Psych major when she was in college and she thought she wanted to be a therapist. I asked her what happened and she told me that after shadowing a professor, she really could not handle all the “stories” of patients for 8 hours a day. I really can’t blame her…it’s so stressful. Then my doctor mentioned that every therapist have their own therapist. I thought this was really cute because I started to imagine my PSYCH FRIENDS being my therapists:D
