Thoughtless

In today's world you cant have nice things without someone ruining it. Twice this pass week I have witnessed a person back out of there parking spot with their car and hit the car behind them and drive off. I really don't understand people. How can you damage somebody's property and just act like it never happened. There wasnt much damage in either cases but you can still get out of your car and check to see if there was. I'd say maybe 1 out of 5 people would check to see if there was damage and leave a note explaining what happened. The rest would drive off and act like it never happened. The best part about one of them was i saw the person hit the other car and the person looked right at me and drove off. I mean come on. Of course I wrote down their license plate # but there wasn't any damage.

I'm sure in your life that you've had something you really liked and had it damaged by someone else. A couple of years ago I gave my friend my iPod to hold for a second and when he was handing it back to be he dropped it. Of course it wasn't on purpose, but It had a few scratches on it afterward. People are very careless with things if they don't belong to them.

Local Talent !

One thing i love about Living in New York is the abundance of fresh new talent. On any given evening you can walk into a local venue and check out up and coming artists. This past week i was at Arlene's Grocery in the Lower East Side. Arlenes's, among many similar venues, is home to local bands and artists. The walls are filled with refreshing and original music from bands such as "Rebecca Perl", and this months house band "French Camp".

Rebecca Perl is lead by singer and songwriter Rebecca Perlmutter. Rebecca is accompanied by an impressive composition of musicians. The band incorporates hints of blues, rock, and pop. Their music is reminiscent of earlier musicians such as Sheryl Crow, Eric Clapton and John Mayer. Defiantly a band worth checking out. French Camp, the house band at Arlene's Grocery was another band worth checking out. This 5 piece band composed of humble yet awkward guys really knows how to catch a crowds attention. They are most comparable to bands such as muse and radiohead. They will be playing every thursday at Arlene's Grocery for the month of February. You can check out more on Rebecca Perl By Visiting her facebook fan page, or listen here.
