lightning globe magic
So discovered this little trick and thought it was cool enough to share with you guys. This is an ordinary touch lamp. I guess passing a hand between the lightning globe and the lamp changes the electric field and turns on the lamp.

One day you may be a parent...

One thing that was salient while looking though family photos, is that one day, my children will look at pictures i look last week, and laugh... just as i laughed at my parents. We are living the moments that our parents reminisce about, moments that don't even seem real to us. After all, it is hard to imagine out parents spent all these years living with out us. I just think the whole concept of childbearing is pretty crazy. Crazy in a good way though. Isn't it insane that we have not yet "met" our children. This is not a person who is out there...this is a person who is waiting for you to make them. It's crazy that we can make other people... i make coffee, not people! It's is rather amazing when you think about it. I am sure there is no feeling like the feeling of being a parent. Finally getting to meet that mystery person, who you made. To my future children, "i cant wait to meet you"

mac'ed up
Last week, i made one of the biggest and most risky transitions that a person can make in life. I acquired a macbook pro. I made the switch from my awesome dell xps to a macbook after realizing that i needed a new computer. My old dell has been great to me. We've been through a lot of tough and rough times together. But i knew that it was time to move on. The macbook has some huge shoes to fill. I've had my dell for 4 years; all through college and it still functions like its new.
So onto new things. I got a macbook after hearing nonstop from my friend who is a mac fanboy, how amazing his macbook, ipad, and iphone are. But the decision was by no means an easy one sided one. I really tried to do all i could to fight that decision to get the macbook. I was extremely close to getting another dell xps. If it aint broke, why fix it? But to counter that argument, people have told me that it's time to upgrade and not stay the same.
I've heard from countless people that a macbook not only changes your computer experience, but your life in general. I think thats an exaggeration but im willing to give it a try. At least no one can say that i didnt try. So far, the macbook has been great. It's only been a week but i'm not regretting the decision in any way. Hopefully, it doesnt let me down.
