What is Valentine's Day?

What is Valentine's Day? It is obviously just a Hallmark holiday. I never really understood Valentine's Day and I never really liked it either, not because I don't have anyone to 'celebrate' it with but because I feel it's kind of stupid and pointless. Is today really the only day where you can show your significant other how much you like them and cherish them? I don't think so. I feel like if you only give chocolates, flowers, and cards to your significant other on Valentine's Day, he/she is not that special to you.

This is a holiday where flower shops, candy shops, and card stores can make the most money out of people. I feel like if you can give flowers, candy, and cards to someone on Valentine's day, you should be doing it everyday. Or surprise your significiant once in a while. Not just on these kind of holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries.

If you really like/love your significant other, you should try to make everyday memorable and surprise them with love. Not just by being cliche and taking them out on a date, buying flowers, candy, and cards on Valentine's day. Make every day special. So yes, this is why I am not a big fan of Valentine's day. I don't get the point of it. I shall stop here before I offend anyone who actually likes this holiday.
