We're History

I can think back to the time when I was in high school, sitting in my history class. It was always interesting to learn about the past and what actions lead to what consequences, as that is the foundation of history that we know. Every day would be a new topic, learning about a different place or time in history. What intriguied me was that I was able to experience the emotions and feelings at a certain point in time without actually being present durring that time. I was able to learn about the hardships and wars from the confort of my own school.

Now its our time to take part in this wonderful cycle. We are a living part of history and one day, people will be sitting in their classroom learning about everything that we've been through. They will learn about the 911 terrorist attacks along with the 10 year long search for the man in charge. They will learn about the plague of deadly earthquakes that ripped through the world including Katrina and the record setting Japan. They will hear about the depression and the housing bubble burst that we are currently taking part in. They will hear it all.

History is a funny subject in that we tend to analyze the past rather than the present. It has been stated that history repeats itself and currently, that statement would be mostly true. As long as were here living, we will be a part of history for others to learn about. They will analyze us and may even point out flaws however one day, they will become a part of history as well. The cycle will continue and we will all move on.

My family video

I was trying to figure out how to record my own audio to go along with the music and photos slide show but i couldn't figure it out. so i posted the video anyway.

The video starts with photos of my Grandparents (Mother's parents) it then progresses to photos of my mother as a child, her brother and her parents. the last photo of them is a color photo with all four members of the Sparrow family. The next photos are of my fathers side of the family, the Goodwyns. it also starts with my grand parents and moves into my fathers generation showing his brothers and sister as young children. the final few photos starts with a photo of my parents together. it them moves to their wedding day and finally a photograph of there three children. Taylor (the oldest), Evan (the middle child) and me AKA Mackenzie (the baby of the family) the final photo of my brothers and me fades to gray in a tribute to all of the gray photos (ancestors) that came before us.
