I share

I share my thoughts with strangers because they can not judge me...
they can not hurt me.
they are powerless even with my worst confessions
I let my mind wonder and my fingers run across the keyboard
I offend, lie, scream, curse the world i'm in and they can do nothing about it
thank god for the sites like this and post secrets
without them i would literally DIE
thank you for listening to my rants and raves on the internet

wherever;

worry not little leaf,
swept off a tree branch
in an uplift of gust,
swirling gracefully
in drafts of wind

do not cry.
you are departing on
a journey called destiny

wafting in the air,
traveling swift as hermes
on winged sandals
drifting wherever
the breeze might go

chasing a horizon that
never seems to end,
you begin to wonder
when your destination
will arrive.

but,
it's not called destiny
for nothing.

for the destination is
irrelevant
without the voyage
that led you there.

just a poem.

Staring Out My Window

poem I wrote...

Staring Out My Window

The tree branches are waving at me
as I hear the whispers of the world

The lamppost's yellow light shines on the white powder
falling on the ground
Snow--so fresh and clean,
like an untouched canvas waiting to be painted on

This image I see while staring out my window--
peaceful, calm, but so empty.
where is my snowman?

This abandoned cold winter
breezy night reminds me
that life alone is
lonely.

Hateful Ignorance

I took a creative writing class one semester and wrote some poems.

Hateful Ignorance

American soldiers were killed yesterday

And more were killed today.

Innocent lives are being stolen by

false martyrs every day, in malls,

Train stations, hotels and even mosque.

How did this war come so far?

Muslim lives are being stolen, making t

Their own motherland a prison, a grave.

Places where children once played are now

Fields f abandoned cars, exploded bomb prints

And broken glass.

Hateful ignorance

Made then fear their own homes and shops

Put doubt in their hearts

Who to believe?

Where to go?

First Afghanistan, then Iraq , now

Pakistan, when is this heartless war going to end?

Let the young soldiers go home and leave

The innocent families alone.

Give the world a rest,

Before there is no one to

Even fight this restless war.

Poetry

Beautiful is often not enough
Bright like the city's skyline
Yet serene like a babbling brook
She could not be compared
by the realm of mere mortals
She glowed with a radiance
that pierced through frowns and depression
Purity
She looked at me with those eyes
while baptized by the rain
as if wanting me to come with her into the light.
My heart screamed wanting to go
but I will not.
