Another old entry just now being posted- i shouldnt have saved all of them at once, but hey you learn from your mistakes later on right.

Just so you guys know when I mention Bot Paws- its my core group of friends here on campus, they're also my team mates.

I just wanna say I love my bot paws. I may be drowning, but they're that cool ass sea turtle that hangs out with me while I'm swimming or that bomb mermaid that does magic tricks while the waves jostle me.

yesterday I was freakin a lil, and I felt like shitaki mushrooms at practice. However my bot paws took those mushrooms and hibachi cooked those suckers up for me, and last night we ate like kings or at least jesters.

ALSO READERS, if we have any. The Bot Paw crew is going on tour this weekend, we going to Buffalo for a rugby tourny. Big Things.

I can't wait for some dance parties in the hotel rooms, makeshift tats, and hopefully some serious blog inspiration. Also i can't wait to touch balls, you know rugby balls. We haven't played since before winter break, or have been able to practice outside bc of snow. All of our practices have been running. So it makes sense that we're going to the B.lo to play rugby in the snow.

Dada duh da dah deh BALLS.

Also an old entry that I am just now posting- from beginning of the semester.

The Buffalo weekend was one hell of an experience. First off, the car ride going up there was by far the most ridiculous ride I ever had. (thank you C.Tang for getting us up there. You are a wonderful driver, doing all those seat belt checks and not actually driving off a cliff) But yea, we all learned a lot about some people, and by some people, I mean just this one person. It was quite scary, interesting, bizarre, but nonetheless amusing.

The rugby tournament itself was a b****, only because of the cold and snow. But we did such an awesome job. Made it to the finals but ended up second, which was gay because we had to play this team twice in order to win. But w/e, we're winners no matter what. I mean, you know being 2nd out of 83 teams is quite an accomplishment.

Then the night was pretty much a fun, weird mess. Highlight of the night, the bathroom.

This was written awhile ago in my online journal, and im just posting it now...so even though Tuesday night has not happened yet, this was a past Tuesday night.

Its the afternoon after Tuesday night @ UCafe and I feel great. Set up an appointment with my Math Prof who also goes to my chuch, so hopefully he'll grade me like the angel that I am. other than math giving me the usual hell that it is, I'm really bustin ass this semester with the rest of my grades. Due to all the drama with "screwed" last semester, my grades were dismal, and thats not an excuse. I feel like I failed myself and I'm not okay with that. Me & this bitch called GPA are gonna battle for awhile, I Will Be Victorious. Probably switching my major to History.

I just spent another 200 @ the bookstore, on a smattering of subjects, none of them for my classes. Books, Music, and Movies are a bit of a high for me- Scratch that, I think culture is a high and I find these to be the best mediums to to experience it, besides living obviously.

Last night me and 2 other rooks went to Ucafe, our campus bar, and we had a blast. I can see how it gets tiring for the older people who no longer go, but we had fun dancing& drinking& mingling. K & Dre are mad fun to hang out with, all the guy vet rugby players were there too, along wihth some other campus comrades. It was great.

USA sevens rugby tournament

This past weekend was the USA sevens rugby tournament in Las Vegas which aired on NBC. The tournament featured 16 international teams from all over, representing the best teams in the world. The reason it's called sevens rugby is because it is not the same as traditional rugby. A traditional rugby match is played with 15 men and is 80 minutes long played in two 40 minute halves. Sevens rugby is the faster paced tournament version and gets the name from there being 7 players on each team and each half being only 7 minutes long with a 1 minute rest at halftime. Seven minute halves doesn't sound like a whole lot but during that time it's non-stop running and tackling so you get tired real quick.

The games being much shorter allows for multiple games to be played in a day. Over the past two days a total of 44 games were played amongst the 16 teams. England was ranked #1 coming into the tournament and favored to win but that wasn't the case. Ninth ranked USA didn't do so well either, losing their first two matches against South Africa and Samoa. The final match was played earlier today with South Africa versing Fiji. The fifth ranked South Africa team, in the picture above, was unstoppable on the field and came away with win. Throughout the entire tournament their team's speed and stamina couldn't be matched.

Rugby doesn't really get as much attention in the United States as it does around the world but it's popularity has been growing here. Lots of athletes have made the switch over from football to rugby because they find it to be a more fun fast-paced game. More athletes are expected to make the switch and start training for rugby because it's once again becoming an Olympic sport in 2016. With me being both a player and fan I'm really looking forward to seeing this sport develop more in the future.
